With its 20 percent of world’s population, China split only 2 percent of the whole world healthcare budget. A well-to-do society can only be built on the foundation of a healthy population. As an important part of its social development, China’s health care system will face challenges as well as opportunities in the coming two decades, when the country strives to reach the goal of common prosperity. This panel explores the current progress of medical scheme adopted by China government and a potential new cooperative health care scheme in line with China social development.
